Summary
CH341A Mobile is a hardware programming tool made by Khan Dish Network. It works offline and needs no account. It contains no advertising and no analytics or tracking software, and it does not sell or share personal data.
The only time the app sends anything over the internet is when you tap Share report after a failed operation. Nothing is sent automatically.
Data that stays on your phone
- Firmware files you open through the Android file picker. The app reads only the file you pick.
- Chip reads and backups you choose to save. They are kept in the app's private storage and can be deleted in the app or by uninstalling it.
- Settings such as language, theme and programming options, and the name and email you last used in the Share report form, so you do not need to type them again.
Technical error reports are never saved on the phone: they exist in memory only until you send them or dismiss them. Android backup of app data is turned off.
Error reports you choose to send
When an operation fails, the app offers Cancel or Share report. If you share, the following is sent:

The technical report describes the failed operation: chip model and ID, the step that failed, the app settings in use, timing, and the commands and responses exchanged with the chip that are needed to find the fault. It can include small samples of raw bytes read from the chip. It never includes a firmware file or a backup file.
Name and email are required so that we can answer you. The report is sent over an encrypted HTTPS connection to our server at ch341.khandishnetwork.net. If you have no internet at that moment, the report waits in memory and is sent when the connection returns while the app is open; if you close the app first, it is discarded.
How we use it
- To investigate and fix the reported problem and to improve chip support.
- To contact you by email about your report.
We do not use this information for advertising or marketing, we do not sell it, and we do not share it with third parties. Our web hosting provider stores it on our behalf and sees standard connection data (such as the IP address) needed to deliver the request. To limit abuse, the server counts reports per IP address using a one-way hash and does not store the IP address itself.
How long we keep it
Reports are kept only as long as needed to investigate the problem and answer you, and no longer than 24 months. You can ask us to delete them earlier at any time.
Your choices and data deletion
- You can use the app without ever sending a report.
- To see or delete the reports you sent, email support@khandishnetwork.net with the subject Data deletion from, or mentioning, the email address you used. We delete them within 30 days and confirm by email. See Data deletion.
- Data on your phone is removed when you clear the app's storage or uninstall it.
Android permissions

The app does not request location, contacts, camera, microphone, SMS or broad storage access.
Security
Reports travel over HTTPS only. On the server they are stored outside the public website in a private folder that cannot be opened from the web. No system is perfectly secure, but we limit what we collect to what is needed to help you.
Children
CH341A Mobile is a technical tool for adults and professionals and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
Changes to this policy
If our data practices change, we will update this page and the effective date above. Significant changes will also be mentioned in the app's release notes.
